On Veterans Day, Rocky and I were invited to a luncheon of about 90 people. What a nice luncheon it was.
The food, entertainment and company, were great. Little did we know, that Rocky would be the main attraction! How proud we were, when USMC 1st Sgt. Wally Lukes, and Master Sgt. Reed (Gypsy Boy), made a heartfelt speech about Rocky, saying that he was the epitome of the Marine Corps motto:
Semper Fidelis, and presented him with the "Marine for Life" award.
Rocky was presented a plaque, and beautiful Marine Corps belt buckle.Pictured is Rocky and good friend, Jack. It was a day we'll never forget and I would like to share with all.
I'm so very proud of all that my husband has done for our country while in the Corps, and continues to do, for our men and women over seas, sending them much needed items, letting them know we support them, as well as the unselfish act of taking care of his dear friend, and making him comfortable 24/7, to the very end.
Semper Fidelis..Forever Faithful..he is!
